Miss'Opo

Reading an article in Dutch Elle Decoration about Miss'Opo Porto Portugal, instant love with this place. Photos from their website, by Ana Luandina.

Atelier

This atelier was once the studio of Sonia Gaskell. She was the first director of balletteacher and former dancer of the National and Scapino ballet Henk Knaap. I have had one lesson with Henk... so far. Henk sends beautiful pictures, like this one, adding this text: 'In this studio also Audrey Hepburn had her balletclasses, a small studio with a hard floor, from where so many people flew out into the world, with a creative career.'

Nutcracker & Mouseking

Forgot to mention that it was a special performance for kids, 1200!, age 8 to 10 from Amsterdam. We could see where the snow came from, the decors moving, great experience!

Christmas tradition

The Dutch National Ballet is dancing the Nutcracker and Mouseking in a Dutch interpretation of the story. I loved the Amsterdam canal house, the frozen canal, the snow, okay I loved every part of it. As a child becoming 'a prima ballerina' was my biggest dream! Picture from www.het-ballet.nl.
